At long last, the follow up to 2017’s "Who Will Play?" flexi has materialised in the form of "No One Wins" on the LP format. With influences and membership that span the world of hardcore punk, both stylistically and geographically, this platter sports 10 tracks of pummelling hardcore punk that incorporates metallic elements drawn from the near and far reaches of mid 80s international hardcore and thrash to the simplicity of domestic HC pestilence. Blended with a great finesse that is both tasteful and potent - which seems to be a rare feat to attain this day and age - and buttressed by a top notch mastering job by the great Arthur Rizk (SHIT "What Do You Stand For," Impalers "Cellar Dweller”, Power Trip ‘Nightmare Logic’) which only feeds the fire that is the base of these already enormous tracks. Dutch hardcore masters of the 80s back with a new 7” the ‘Nazi-Frei’ (Nazi Free) EP. Two brand new songs including the anti-fascist anthem title track, two re-recorded NEUROOT 80s blasters and one cover of a 1977 Dutch punk classic, totalling five songs on ultra super limited ‘brown note’ marble vinyl in a foldout sleeve with lyrics and art.
Artcore has a raging roster of current band interviews with NEUROOT to accompany the 7” EP, Washington DC’s RED DEATH, Edmonton’s NO PROBLEM, Toronto’s UGLY POP RECORDS, Sheffield’s RAT CAGE, London’s STAGES IN FAITH and Madrid’s ACCIDENTE. The VAULTAGE section of the zine has an overview of 70s/80s punk in the Mid-Western States in ‘Can’t Stand the Mid-West’, a look at early South Wales punk history in ‘The Wasteland of my Fathers’, an interview with the authors of ‘Tomorrow Is Too Late’ the Toronto Hardcore book and the action gig photography of Nele Vandermaesen. Finally, all the usual review damage completes the picture, all in a packed 40 page litho printed A4 fanzine rounded off with no advertising dilution whatsoever. £6.50 plus post.

Following up their well-received “Gallows” LP, New York City’s Anarcho-Deathrock hybrid return with three new tracks. Against the landscape drawn up by 80’s-influenced post-punk, Pawns exchange full-on punk rage for a gloomy animosity by exploring dark and desperate melodies. Bass-heavy rhythms and choral guitar tones are topped off by vocalist Gage Allison’s ominous baritone vocals in a rich maelstrom of bleak gothic punk. H.I.C. SYSTEEMI from a village in Northern Finland didn't receive the recognition that they deserved at the time of their existence! Their LP issued in 1986 came out too late and on the wrong label!
This discography LP contains the 12 tracks from their LP from 80ies plus 8 great bonus-tracks, most of them never released on vinyl before!
All tracks recorded between 1981 and 1985 at Soundmix /Oulu! Comes with a poster-insert with all Finnish lyrics, great historical photos, band-story etc.! Completely new artwork compared to their LP from 80ies! This is first league Finnish HC like KAAOS, RIISTETYT, APPENDIX, BASTARDS etc.! Highly recommended!
