TOXOPLASMA "Demos 81/82" LP

The two Toxoplasma demo tapes from 1981 and 1982, which were released before the band's legendary first LP. In 1994/95 the label Get Happy! Parts of the two demos as limited singles, which sold out within a very short time and have been sought-after collectibles ever since.

Now finally all (!) Demo songs together on an LP, 7 pieces of the 81 tape and the 6 songs of the 82 tape, remastered in 2011 by singer Wally Walldorf in the band's own studio.
Toxoplasma is one of the most authentic and best German punk bands, which has been active for 30 years with two interruptions and continues to set standards to this day.
Both demos were recorded in the rehearsal room of the band in Neuwied and trace the way to the first LP, among others songs are already represented here in the original versions, which were later re-recorded for the LP, among them all-time hits like "Teenagefrust", "Pass you on", "S.O.S." and "Thank you".

Rough, impetuous and uncompromising German punk with political lyrics and a lot of anger in the belly, which was characteristic for an entire genre and is still unated today. This is the original, everything that came after it has to be measured by toxoplasma. A wonderful document of early German punk rock from a band that continues to this day consistently goes its way without taking the embarrassments of some other combos with it.
Master and artwork of "Demos 81/82" is by singer Wally Walldorf, the LP comes with text sheet and download code!

DEKADENT "Almost Complete Dekadent" Double LP

Decadent from Giengen were one of the most active German-speaking anarcho-crust punk bands in the 90s. The band existed from 1988 to 2000 and during this time released two albums, two singles and was featured on numerous samplers.

Decadent were different from the rest of the classic crust/anarcho-punk, not least due to the extraordinary voice of singer Tanja. Musically, there is an England-inspired sound that gets its own touch through the women's singing (and the occasional male parts). The texts are German-language: political, direct and uncompromising.

Decadently, DIY was always consistent, all recordings were made in their own rehearsal room with an 8-track machine, so the sound is: rough, original and unadorned. Some of the records were released on the band's own label, the rest appeared on Civilisation Records, the originals have been sold out for years.

"Almost complete decadent" contains a total of 35 songs, including the complete "Bread for the World..." LP, the "Wake up finally"-7", a split-7 with the Finnish Peruutus, the song of the "Civilisation Backwards" sampler and 10 songs from the self-titled CD.

Appears as a double LP with over 80 minutes of play time including a fat 16-page XL booklet in Crass style, poster insert and with download code.

DENY - Dystopia LP (Col. Vinyl) In Soon

Debut full length album by this rå-punk band from Mariestad, Sweden. This band is top hot the hotties at the moment when it comes to the Swedish underground-scene and while listening to this album I can hear why. This is unrelentless CRUSTPUNK that comes very close to the rage and power of ANTI-CIMEX but with a way better production. Nothing entirely new of course but a fresh upwind in the genre! Great stuff and one of the best scandinavian bands at the moment.

DISTURD "DARK " LP Restocks in very soon

2015 recordings from this excellent Japanese crust band finally released on vinyl (previously available CD only in Japan). - Those familiar with the band from their handful of 7" releases will recognize many of these songs but these are updated versions with killer production and tied together into a masterful LP of heavy crust punk. This band takes a metallic but decidedly punk sound like the Antisect "Out From the Void" 7". If you wished there was more from those old English heads that pushed forward in that direction then you need to hear this band.

Cheers to Social Death for making this vinyl release a reality!

Dystopia "Dystopia" LP

Huge fan of dystopia, always have been. Their ability to encapsulate the plight of the human condition through music is next to none. The age old dilemma of existential angst many of us face each and every day are made tangible with each and every album these talented despondent's release. Which is why I have to bring to light some of my criticisms with this album whilst the rest of the obedient masses of the anti-authoritative youth culture digress.

The album seems lazy. Most of the material can be weighed in audio samples in which the band is so famous for integrating and enhancing their songs once completed. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, as one could argue each track is more than just a song with lyrics but rather an exercise in complete creative control over a work of art that transcends the boundaries of the pre-ordained model of song production. I will have to say the former.

Audio samples aside were left with several tracks that seem rather uninspired then their previous work. It took them years to follow up human=garbage which seemed as though nobody really cared anymore and rather just chose to tackle the new album as a chore rather than the next progressive step in the band's misanthropic journey through life and music. The lyrics stay true to the bands identity, never opting for shallow self-indulgent poetic dribble, but rather a comprehension of a brutally honest yet sincere suicide note found next to the nightstand overshadowed by a hanging corpse.

You can’t blame them for not delivering, somehow through all the pain and suffering these tortured souls feel, all the misfortune and neglect life throws at them(and you), they still had enough energy and patience to give the grateful and jilted masses one last ride through dystopia. Control All Delete is an epic thrash metal piece that describes the perils of a life seen and lived through the computer. From the heights of control, to the bottom of the barrel, life as we know it will be experienced and destroyed through the use of ill-guided, exploitative technology. What made dystopia so successful was the downtrodden parity they shared with their fan base. No self-important political agendas, no constructs of a drifter’s life only a few are willing to live, but a universal feeling of hopelessness that everyone experiences.

You can compare this body of work to that of a cinema directors body of work. If 'the aftermath' was there gritty surreal breakout first feature, than human=garbage was their masterpiece. No need to argue which one was better. Some prefer the grinder, sludgy, raw unpolished sound of the aftermath, while others prefer the doomier, haunting thrash metal aspect of human=garbage. They are both equally important and prolific entries into the dystopia mythos.

I expected a lot more from this album in which took almost ten years after the last to be released. I mean at this point, if you have nothing else to say, why bother? But who am I to pass judgment as if all music must be created to please everyone else never fulfilling your own desires and wants, all the while turning the cog of the capitalist regime that crushes your soul and bones slowly day in, and day out.
