VSK "Auf Allen Wegen" LP
German Hardcore Punk rock
From 1994 to 1998, the Versauten stepchildren from Freiberg / Saxony swirled the punk scene with two albums and two singles. Highly aggressive Pogo-Irokesen hardcore punk, prototypical for the 1990s, the then German punk revival and in direct succession to the 80s greats such as pre-war youth. In a league with bands like Rawside, Recharge, Corrupt or Toxoplasma. Punk was street, thief, violent, loud and combative.
At some point in the late 1990s was shift, songs with classic status remained. A part of the original line-up now returns as VSK, reinforced with Martin K. and Nils von Rasta Knast on guitar and drums and Julian (Gloomster) on vocals. VSK continue seamlessly where they left off two decades ago. Incredibly fat, catchy, confrontational German-speaking hardcore punk that wants to burst with anger. Completely out of time and that's why it's so horny: inciting, angry, aggressive and pissed-on, you're balling your way through 16 songs.
Some of them are newly recorded and boldly produced kinky stepchildren classics such as "Schlag back", "Old Comrades", "When No One Rules" and "Democracy must occasionally be bathed in blood", along with brand new songs that line up seamlessly.
No one has been able to do this for ages so consistently, radically, energetically and snortingly. Deutschpunk, who wants to be German punk and has lost none of its original explosive power. Rough, rough, rousing and far away from the scrap, which later made an entire genre almost unbearable.

PUNK-ROCK. TRIEBTÄTER were one of the 1st German-speaking punk bands from Stuttgart, Germany. Founded in 1980 and finally disbanded in 1984.

SAW THROAT “Indestroy (extended)” 2xLP gatefold + 24 page color book (F.O.A.D. 180) Now In Stock
The ultimate edition of this masterpiece of apocalyptic heaviness! Originally released in 1989 as the band’s third album (considering the fact that Saw Throat is nothing else but a further stage in the legendary Sore Throat saga), and with a marked musical shift towards the more sinister sound of bands like The Swans, Saint Vitus, Amebix and Gore, “Indestroy” was envisaged as a one song concept LP with a lyrical emphasis placed on enviromental issues (3 decades BEFORE the current publicity seeking populism of mainstream popstars and media celebrities pretending to give a fuck about the planet). Improvised and recorded over a period of three weeks, the resulting album become not only the crown jewel in the band’s history, but the final nail in the coffin of them being an ongoing concern as the three core members concentrated on their own bands and all moved on.
However, the reception and cult status has grown over the years. And so, after digging through many old cassettes, the original rough mix instrumental version of the album was located featuring a different running order, and a heavier/more guitar orientated and less polished sound. As a historical artifact, this was the version vocalist Rich listened to while writing all the lyrics the night before he was due to record them. There are also some sound effects and small parts that never made it to the final version. Either way, as one of the last truely great recordings of the 80’s, this as now unheard version of the “Indestroy” album is for the first time made available to the public domain housed in a thick reverse board gatefold jacket with fully restored original artwork, extensive liner notes and a stunning 24 page full colored lyric and artwork booklet.

MDC (Millions of dead cops), the indestructible American political hardcore punk institution with the next round-up to 7-inch. After the split EP with Iron, a new album and the rerelease of the 80s classic debut "Millions of dead cops" now an EP with the US tour partners The Elected Officials.
MDC with the over 5-minute punch "My trump" on the current political situation in the USA, as always characterized by voice and textual intensity of Dave Dictor. MDC move here musically rather in the mid-tempo range, the flipside with Elected Officials can then be settled in classically straight punk rock. Melodic, crashy and with very good polyphonic vocals.
Political punk, which does not seem quiet or sucked out in 2019, but in this form definitely has its justification and pops pure. The EP comes with folding cover including texts and download code.

In this issue of the long running UK punk zine you’ll find in depth interviews with legendary UK punks SUBHUMANS, LA’s TOTAL MASSACRE, Amsterdam’s OPEN WOUNDS, South Wales’ DRUNKEN MARKSMAN, The North East’s TIED DOWN and London’s GAME. While the historical ‘Vaultage’ section of the zine features interviews with original LA punk zine FLIPSIDE, London anarcho post-punks PART 1 and Stoke’s EXIT CONDITION. On top of this are the articles: ‘Death to the Sickoids’ a 10,000 word history of Canadian punk in the 70s and 80s, ‘Punks in Parkas’ on the ‘79 mod revival by ace face Neil Cox (Shutdown, Thirty Six Strategies, Diaz Brothers) and ‘Ragin’ Full On In Early 80s Southern California’ featuring the hardcore memoirs of Andy Nystrom (Sorex, There’s Something Hard In There). This three song 7” featuring ‘Nova Grows Up’, ‘The/Rapist’ and ‘In Technicolor’ is an enhanced reissue with new artwork of the Mydolls 1981 debut release on C.I.A. Records (run by Linda of the band along with her husband U-Ron Bondage of REALLY RED). From Houston, Texas, this male-backed feminist art-punk four piece followed their own path, creating a unique post-punk sound that would’ve fitted right in on Rough Trade’s roster of bands of the day alongside THE SLITS and THE RAINCOATS. The band travelled to London not long after this 7” was released in 1982 to promote the record and were interviewed by John Peel. They went onto release another 7” and a mini-album in the 80s, appeared in Wim Wenders’ film Paris, Texas, as well as playing gigs along side touring bands like MINOR THREAT, THE CRAMPS and SIOUXSIE AND THE BANSHEES, as well as locals BIG BOYS, REALLY RED and THE DICKS. The 7” (with some additional audio) comes on green/grey marble vinyl and is housed in an eight page lyric and photo booklet. £7.00 Plus post

TOTENWALD - "Dirty Squats & Disco Lights" LP WAITING FOR RESTOCK
After numerous live gigs, more and more attention in the European undergound scenes and the release of their debut 12“ „Wrong Time Wrong Place“ via US-based anarcho punk label Mass Media Rec., TOTENWALD found their final line-up. New addition sax player Ruby makes TOTENWALD a 4-piece now and she definitely adds to the 80s post-punk & anarcho vibe of the band with her instrument drawing references to bands such as SKELETAL FAMILY or X-RAY SPEX.
The band still works with a sterile, cold drum computer rhythm while adding organic bass and guitar lines & structures to their sound. On top of this, singer Trish vents her anger against capitalism, society, hetero-normativity, lookism and other wrongs of this rotten society. TOTENWALD's music is diverse enough to attract different audiences ranging from post-punk and goth-rock to crusties, UK punk fans and the old anarcho & peace punk crowd. The entire discography of this short lived but influential early nineties anarcho punk band from Glasgow, Scotland.
This is fast-paced and shredding anarcho punk with little excursions into the crust-punk genre here and there. Dual fe/male vocals and a lot of lyrical topics of todays society that are still relevant.
Disaffect releases most their material via Nabate Records from Belgium as well as Flat Earth Records from the UK. Both labels were pioneering the nineties DIY punk wave a lot with bands like ONE BY ONE, HIATUS, SEDITION, UNHINGED etc .
Disaffect stopped playing in 1994 and members moved on to other projects such as SCATHA, CONSTANT FEAR, BRAIN ANGUISH and QUARANTINE. In 2019 the band reformed with a new rhythm section to play occasionally the one or the other festival.
The Disaffect discography includes the "An Injury To One..." 7" EP from 1992, the split 7" with SEDITION from 1993, the "Home Of The Brave" 7"EP from 1993 (reissued 3 times!) and their 1994 released debut LP "Chained To Morality" as well as the ultra rare split 7" with BIZARRE UPROAR also from 1994.
