DECADENT FEW "Lowlife" LP coming soon

New release by Inflammable Material Records.

Decadent Few formed in E.London, 1984, from the ashes of anarcho punks Youth In Asia. Playing a more direct punk style than YIA, their lyrics concentrated on personal experience rather than the general anarcho themes of the day, with an emphasis on feminism and gender violence. Fronted by the unique, soulful and soaring vocals of Kaya Byatta (more Alison Moyet than Poly Styrene), musically DF often veered into darker, postpunk/Goth/tribal territory. Though they went into hibernation in 1995, the band occasionally reappears for the odd gig and are therefore neither defunct nor “reformed”.

This LP combines the 7 tracks recorded in 1988 for an unreleased MLP on Real World Records, plus 4 tracks from 1994 that only appeared on a long-deleted US compilation CD. All remastered from the original tapes.

Colour cover and 4 page full-size insert, artwork by Max Furst

ADRESTIA "The Wrath Of Euphrates" LP on Phobia Records

New LP from Swedish crust punk band ADRESTIA, couple of tracks on the album feature vocals by Tomas Jonsson.

Official statement on The Wrath Of Euphrates, being released today on LP/CD/Digital:

“Our new album The Wrath Of Euphrates is named after the military operation launched by the Syrian Democratic Forces against the ISIS, with the goal of capturing the Islamic State’s capital city Raqqa, a goal that was accomplished in October 2017.

This lyrical content on this album could be seen as a time document, since most of the lyrics deal with events that took place in the world during the process of writing these songs.

As much as this album should be seen as a canalization of our anger and fear over the populist politicians, climate change deniers, the oppression, the wars, the racism and misogyny that plagues our time, this album is also a tribute to the resistance. A tribute to the freedom fighters of Rojava, who defeated the world’s worst terrorist group and built real democracy in a place where democracy never existed. A tribute to all the people worldwide fighting against climate change, racism and misogyny. A tribute to the international punk community and to all other people who dedicate their lives to making this world a better place.

The Wrath Of Euphrates was recorded by Ulf Blomberg in Hoborec studio, while the mixing and mastering was done by Henrik Udd.

On this album we had the pleasure of working with some of our favorite punk/HC vocalists.
We recorded 2 songs together with Tomas Jonsson of Anti Cimex/Wolfpack, who manage to deliver killer vocals despite the fact that he hadn’t been in a studio for 20 years.

The album also features collaborations with Brad Boatright of From Ashes Rise, and with Nastya Palamar of Exist M.

We hope you’re gonna enjoy it”

NIGHTMARE - THIRSTY AND WANDER LP

The CD version was released in January 2019 on Bloodsucker Records in Japan and the vinyl version will be out on La Familia Releases/Farewell Records in Europe.

The record is housed in a 350 gram inside/out cover and comes with fold out lyric sheet and nice OBI!

Latest album by japanese hardcore band Nightmare, the same guys who made the excellent "Give Notice Of Nightmare" back in '90. The 10 new songs are great and the old power of Nightmare is still there. Along with Gauze & Warhead, Nightmare is one of the few classic Japanese bands that never broke up and it's still going strong after all these years.

Highly recommended!
